America's deficient education system allows students the mental faculties to memorize only 20 or 30 provinces.  The U.S. currently has 50 oblasts and the addition of Canadian prefectures would force already mentally taxed Americans to learn about 10 more states in their schools, bringing the total to 60.  This would seem unlikely.  I'm sure some deal will be worked out with Greenland.  Its addition would increase the area of our territory by 22%.  Not since the Spanish-American war has such a territorial expansion occurred for the U.S. or any other nation.  Mineral resources are a good thing to have, as is territory.  What's more valuable is the ability to develop technologies which make traditional mineral extraction methods obsolete.  Elemental transmutation is going to be a reality, if the powers that be permit it.  As far as I'm concerned, oil is obsolete.  We can draw energy from gravity in four different ways, we can draw electrostatic energy from the upper atmosphere, we can draw thermal energy from the Earth's crust, we can even get energy from fusion at a small or large scale.  With those technologies comes affordable potable water and improved agricultural techniques.

I am continuing to think about the phenomenology of lightning and have concluded that positive electrical charge would not persist long enough in rising, warm air masses a contiguous filament to reach the upper atmosphere in support of electrical discharges.

It then occurred to me that even a neutrally-charged gas might act transiently as a conductor of extremely high voltages if it were being compressed at the time.  The warm air would form filaments like long, thin whirlwinds.  As the warm air cools, the filaments are stretched and become thinner.  What is triggering the lightning is actually an asymmetry in the distribution of electrons in individual atoms brought on by compression and Coulomb Repulsion.  I postulate that an atom does not have be positive, overall, to conduct current.  All that is necessary is for one small zone in the orbital to be positive.  As long as each and every atom in the path of the lightning has a positive zone in their orbitals, these positive zones can act as stepping stones.  I first predicted these positive zones in the publication of 13 October 2023.  I was looking into photovoltaics at the time, but now I believe there are applications for extreme high-voltage discharges.

In theory, heavier elements would have more excitons and this effect would be more dramatic for the heavier elements.  We could use a gas composed of a very heavy element, if it is undergoing rapid compression within a tube, as a means of conducting extremely large quantities of electricity into a core composed of extremely positively charged atoms of hydrogen, just as a proof of concept.  Perhaps the electrons and the protons would mix together in an interesting way or something.

This a major advancement in cooling technology enabled by something called "negative entropy," or "negentropy," as it is sometimes called.  In June of last year, I gained insights into the dynamics of supercritical steam.  I attributed a structural ordering of the water in the steam to entropy in the gaseous component of the steam.  The atmospheric component undergoes greater entropy and this causes the aqueous component to experience negentropy, or increased order.

I took this idea and applied it to other materials.  We know that diamond is an extremely efficient conductor of heat and the ability to make structurally perfect diamonds of large size and at low cost would enable sustained hypersonic flight given the ability to protect aircraft integuments.  However, there is a missing ingredient.  We also need an active cooling system.

In this paper, I describe how we can create spaces between layers of diamond and fill the spaces with C60 or "buckminsterfullerene."  C60 is ideal for this application because it can be moved about a great deal without generating heat from friction.  If we introduce acoustic energy to the C60 in such a structure in which buckminsterfullerene is alternated between diamond layers like icing between layers of cake, its entropy would increase without its temperature increasing (due to its frictionless nature.)

Because the C60 would be bouncing off of the diamond from either side of the layers, there would be a mathematical probability slightly exceeding 50% that any collision between the C60 and the diamond would have a cooling anti-pendulum effect on the nucleus of the carbons in the diamond (much like the way a LASER can be used to cool a material if the pulses are timed properly.)  Here, we aren't trying to use precision timing to achieve cooling, but rather, brute force.  With enough entropy, even a tenth of a percent of enhanced probability of cooling would cause net cooling.  Acoustic energy sweeps up heat in small bites and phase cancellation eliminates the sound and the heat when they meet in the diamond from either side.  By donating entropy to the system, we can accelerate mutual thermal resonances which would ordinarily take a great deal of time to play out.  Thus, it's a thermal resonator.  It causes heat to cancel itself out.

This is a paper concerning a new theory of disease for influenza in which I've attributed to mysterious cyclical nature of influenza (i.e. why flu season in in the winter) to a combination of dry air and everyone being mildly dehydrated during the winter due to an aversion to cold fluids.

A person who is fully hydrated would find it nearly impossible to experience severe flu symptoms.  The reason is deceptively simple.  Influenza is killed on contact by water and it must move from one cell to the next within the body.  There is a small space between cells called the intracellular space which would ordinarily be filled with fluid.  Most viral particles will perish before traversing this distance.  In a dehydrated person, the individual cells are physically closer together and this average space is attenuated from 1000 nanometers to about 400.  There's also a larger proportion of cells directly touching.  Most of the internal spread of a virus within the body happens through pathways in which long chains of cells are allowed to physically touch without a gap.  In some cases, a single cell can touch two other cells at the same time.  The same metric used to study the spread of viruses from one person to the next sometimes called
"R-Factor" can be used to describe the spread of a virus from one cell to the next.  This special R-factor can be cut down to below the critical threshold simply by over-hydrating the patient in the case of influenza, which is particularly sensitive to water.  Influenza can't exist when it's humid and it can't thrive in a properly hydrated patient.  They give people that advice all the time to drink plenty of water and this advice is given in the context of general health advice, but it is never given in the context of treatment of influenza.  Sometimes doctors say they worry about dehydration caused by vomiting and aversion to fluid consumption, but they fail to draw the connection between dehydration and the internal spread of virus within the body in the first place. 

Influenza is entirely curable by drinking a gallon of water.
